Wind Photography

A Photography walk using wind as the theme, using the camera to capture the movement of the landscape in the wind with the perfect back drop of Irvine beach with the summer sea breeze, perfect for this task.
The Ayrshire Visual Art and Performance groups collaborated on this activity, the young people split their team into separate tasks , firstly it was key for someone to find the direction of the wind and anothers role to find an elevated point away from the main beach area.
The young people were then given two kites to build and a small team formed who felt this was more their skill set, others felt flying the kite was something they would really enjoy and as each kite had two handles they worked in pairs to try and launch the kites, after lots of time trying and discussing problem solving solutions the kites took flight and the elected photographer within the group captured the scene through the lens.
