Impact Arts were delighted to have been commissioned by Community Action Lanarkshire and the residents of Upperton to work collaboratively with the children and community of Upperton to design a sign for their village. The sign incorporates drawings from the children which are all linked to the heritage of the area. Creative workshops were facilitated by our talented artist Jonathon Walker. He developed and designed a creative workbook for the children to complete giving them ideas, tasks and creative activities to engage outdoors, in nature and with the history of Upperton. Jonathon transformed the children’s ideas in to the final design and the community of Upperton were involved at each stage of this process giving a unique and personal element to the finished work.
