Combining
fashion and film, music and movies, venues and unique events, Glasgow Film
Festival is a celebration of all things cinema in February. This year, Impact Arts are bringing the
fashion with a special Pop Up shop and upcycling workshops at the CCA on
Saturday 16th of February.
A
mini version of the Eco-chic Boutique, our High Street retail haven, will be
popping up from 11am-9pm on Saturday. You can view the exhibition from 11am
onwards, but the upcycling workshops will take place from 5pm-9pm after the
screening of ‘The Worlds Most Fashionable Prison’.

“We
are so glad to be involved in what is shaping up to be the best year of the
Glasgow Film Festival to date! If you
haven’t heard of the Eco-chic Boutique please come along and see how Impact
Arts have successfully combined our youth employability programme Creative
Pathways with a high quality, ethical shopping experience. We can’t wait to
bring The Boutique to the attention of a new audience on Saturday!”
The
workshop will be lead by tutor Jane Hamilton, and two young people on the
Creative Pathways programme. Cinema goers will get handy tips on how to give
clothes a new lease of life and there will be the opportunity to purchase a
unique selection of garments that will make you stand out from the crowd at GFF
2013!
