
Community arts charity Impact Arts is looking for a Creative Assistant to join our team as part of our Young Parents Pilot project!
Job Title: Creative Assistant
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour for 50 hours in total (12 x 4hr delivery sessions plus 2
hours prep/admin)
Location: Workshops will take place in Stranraer, Dumfries, Annan and Kelloholm.
An agreed contribution to travel can be made of maximum £20 per day
Reporting to: Programme Manager
Duration of contract: It is expected that all workshops will take place in February & March.
Exact dates will be shared once confirmed.
Working hours: Specific workshop times are still TBC but they will take place during
standard working hours, between 9am – 5pm.

Interview dates: Expected to be during week commencing 12th January 2026

The chosen candidate will assist in the delivery of a series of 12 creative workshops (three sessions per group) for up to 60 young parents across four localities in Feb–Mar 2026, in partnership with local Youth Work and Employability teams.
Objectives:
Sessions will be therapeutic, fun, and sociable, using creative activities such as vision boards, positive affirmations, lino printing, planters, needle felting, clay crafts, and mono printing. Parents will focus on personal growth while Youth Workers provide activities for children nearby.
Impact Arts is looking for people with the following qualities, experience, knowledge and
competencies.
