Looking to Sol Lewitt, an American artist linked to various movements, including Conceptual art and Minimalism for inspiration.
The group came up with a variable on his style with a strong focus on shape, direction of lines and colour. The method used being to establish what you want for the drawing and it is then passed onto someone else to complete, raising the questions of who has ownership if the piece is made to someone elses instructions.
The result being a truly collaborative group piece that was initially explored on Photoshop to see it as repeats, helping to imagine the idea as a large scale graphic artwork.
The end result was a dramatically graphic artwork with functionality. A perfect example of the group putting their individual and collaborative stamp on the final artwork through teamwork and creating something so well designed as a result of their learning throughout the various related activities.
