‘Scottish’ Songwriting

The Edinburgh music group led by Conal McIntosh split into three groups, the brief being to come up with a Scottish inspired song.
Taking inspiration from their own take on experiences, Scottish slang and Scottish connatations for a lively creative session followed using inspirational word play to form the basis of the lyrics and slowly work into verses…
Looking at the inspiration for lyrics the group formed of guitars and bass started playing around with ideas, discussing what works and trying out different parts of the song to bring together.
Considering the drum beats to add the team worked together and with the guitars & bass section to complete the arrangement for the song. Coming together wth their elected vocalist to perform the final version with a late decision of an added rap section!
