Rhythm is a dancer, gobbledygook & zoetropes: CashBack Edinburgh begins!

Wed 04th July 2018

Edinburgh’s magnificent National Museum of Scotland buzzing with energy on day two of Cashback to the Future, as participants settle in, and taster sessions across four different artforms begin in earnest!

Music tutor Jack, led the group in a rendition of Rhythm is a Dancer, with each young person getting a go at playing an instrument – and singing along if they felt brave enough!

Tutor Martyn, king of drama, warmed everyone up with exciting interactive games and gobbledygook wordplay (trust us, it’s really fun).

Visual arts tutor Sarah led light-painting workshops, passing on handy new creative skills while encouraging the group to think outside the box.

Digital arts tutor Ross taught the young people to make zoetropes – a pre-film animation technique – giving a great insight into early methods of presenting moving images.

It’s been exciting, busy, energetic – everything you’d expect from the first week of the programme! Here are some images below…
