Reinterpreting a Song

Irvine’s Music group began the programme with a taster session, a songwriting exercise, the group were to pick a song and make it their own
The selected song was by band Fall out Boy and the reinterpretation of this started with the signing group intial arrangement of the lyrics and changing the delivery from the original. The instrumental section considered the chord progression of the song and worked out different versions of the chords, slowed it down making it sound more open and minimal.
The aim being to change the feel of it with the range of instruments the group were working with.
