Orchestra of art noises created by young people to go on exhibition

Thu 23rd February 2017

An exhibition of work created by young people on our Creative Pathways programme in Edinburgh will open to the public next month.

Young people on the project since
January have been looking at the connection between sound and vision, taking
inspiration from sounds to produce artwork, while also making sound sculptures
and musical instruments.

The group
have created a small orchestra of art noise objects. Also featured will be portfolios, art books, patterned sheets and printed collages.

The exhibition will take place at Canongate Youth (6 Infirmary St, Edinburgh EH1 1LT) on Thursday 16th March 2017 between 4pm and 6pm. All welcome and refreshments will be provided.

you would like to attend, please contact [email protected].

This is an employability programme hosted by Canongate Youth and supported by Skills Development Scotland, Inspiring Scotland, Calton Youth Trust, Edinburgh Airport Community Trust and the John Watson’s Trust.
