Young Creative Trustee (aged 18-26)

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a young creative to join the Impact Arts Board and help steer the future direction of a leading community arts organisation.

We are looking for someone aged 18-26 who believes in the power of Impact Arts' work to transform lives, and who is passionate about the impact creativity can have in tackling inequalities that exist in Scotland today.

As a creative organisation, which employs over 100 artists and creatives each year, we are interested in hearing from applicants who have creative experience and are well networked in the Scottish arts scene - be that through visual arts, music, performance or digital.

Impact Arts will celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2019 and we are working towards a refreshed strategy to 2022. Each year, between 60-70% of the 5000 people we engage on our projects are between the ages of 14-25 years. We have recently formed a Youth Steering Group so that we can actively listen to the voices of young people when planning, designing and evaluating our work.

As Year of the Young Person 2018 draws to a close, this appointment of a young trustee to our Board will ensure there is a legacy within Impact Arts by bring a younger voice to our governance and ensuring youth is at the very heart of our organisation.
