Express Yourself, North Ayrshire (14-25 year olds with care experience)

Impact Arts are looking for care-experienced young people aged 14-25 to get involved in fun, fast-paced upcycling workshops!

Working with artist Ruth Switalski, you will explore upcycling, recycling and repurposing through workshops spanning drawing, collage, printmaking, painting and ceramics.

Discover how artists and arts organisations use upcyclung and repurposing to make new works, build communities and reimagine everyday ovjects. Looking ancient techniques like Japanese Kinstugi, the practice of fixing broken ceramics and gold-laced lacquer, we will explore repairing, fixing, modifying and reusing.

We're looking for care-experienced young people in North Ayrshire aged 14-25 to get involved in fun, fast-paced workshops in upcycling and furniture recycling.

Workshops are running now on a weekly basis, every Monday from 1pm - 5pm at Impact Arts' base in Irvine (60 Bank Street, KA12 0LP).

Express Yourself is a partnership project with North Ayrshire ThroughCare, with funding coming from Life Changes Trust and North Ayrshire Council.
