Creative Pathways Barrhead (16-25 year olds)


9-week programme
Aimed at 16-25 year olds not in employment, education or training
16th April - 14th June 2019

Participants will get invaluable hands-on experience of environmental art, landscaping, designing greenspaces and growing and planting. They will also learn about biodiversity and gauge the local community's thoughts on green issues and how they affect quality of life.

Support for this programme comes from the National Lottery Community Fund's Our Bright Future initiative, which backs projects helping young people to lead progressive or environmental change in their communities. This programme is also funded by Skills Development Scotland's Stage 2 Employability Fund. Those taking part will get advice on CVs and job-hunting, and will have the chance to complete an SQA Stage 3 award in Employability.

Additionally, eligible participants will receive a £55 training allowance plus travel expenses.

Workshops start the week commencing 16th April 2019 and will run until 14th June 2019, Tuesday until Friday each week, 9.30am until 4pm. They will be based at:

Thursday & Friday
The Dunterlie Community Centre, Stewart Street, Barrhead, G78 1AL.
