CashBack Nights: Performance & video workshops, Paisley

Free CashBack Nights workshops will offer 12-19 year olds the chance to work with artists Mina Heydari-Waite and Gemma Crook on fun and lively character design and video workshops, involving stop motion, green screen, acting, prop-making and costume design!

You will work with Mina, Gemma and others your age to create exaggerated characters inspired by heritage and identity. Taking cues from the excess of Ru Paul's Drag race and work by contemporary artist Rachel McLean, you will create vibrant and punchy short films to form part of a digital showcase.

We have workshops running:
  • Wednesdays, 4pm - 6pm, at the Tannahill Centre (76 Blackstoun Road, Paisley PA3 1NT). Running 30th January - 17th April 2019
  • Wednesdays, 7pm - 9pm, at the Paisley YMCA (St. Ninian's Parish Church, Blackstoun Road, Paisley PA3 1NR). Running 30th January - 27th March 2019.
Interested? You can sign up here. If you have any questions, give Heather at Impact Arts a call on 0141 575 3001 or email

These workshops are funded and supported by Cashback for Communities, National Museums Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund's Kick the Dust fund.
