UK Green Film Festival

We’re proud to be presenting our pop-up shop at the inaugural UK Green Film Festival from 20th – 22nd May at the Glasgow Film Theatre. Premiering in five cities across Britain, the first national UK Green Film Festival will showcase a selection of the best films, documentaries and shorts that highlight climate change and other environmental issues. Produced in Glasgow by the GFT, and nationally by volunteers from Igloo Regeneration and with formative links to the San Francisco and Washington DC environmental film festivals, this pioneering new film fiesta will feature world and UK film premieres along with some new takes on environmental classics. It will be held at independent cinemas in Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester and London.

Alongside the film screenings, there will be a diverse range of fun and informative activities and events for all the family. During the festival our pop-up shop will be on display, presenting a great opportunity to purchase unique up-cycled products created by our Eco Chic Fashion Freak and HOME project participants. These exciting youth employability programmes are based upon the design and production of creatively up-cycled furniture and clothing within a social enterprise context. The young people on HOME have produced some inspirational pieces of furniture whilst participants on Eco Chic Fashion Freak have created delightful clothing and fashion accessories. All these unique items will be available from our pop-up shop at the GFT.
