Shadows, reflections and selfies: exhibition in Edinburgh next week

Young people working with Impact Arts at Edinburgh's 6VT Youth Cafe will unveil a reflective new photography exhibition next week.

Selfies Showcase, the culmination of a 6-week Creative Connections project, celebrates self-identity through photography and digital manipulation.

The artwork, which is varied and experimental, plays with shadows, reflections, silhouettes and masequerade to explore how we relate to ourselves individually and as a group, with a particular focus on cultural influences.

Featuring digital and analogue photography, collage, gifs and more, this is a fantastic opportunity to take in imaginative work from young people's perspective.

The exhibition will take place on Wednesday 29th March 2017 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm at 6VT Youth Cafe (11-15, Vennel, Edinburgh EH1 2HU). If you would like to attend, please contact stella.sphipps@gmail.com or call Stella on 07759717238.

This course has been funded through the Big Lottery's Young Start fund.
