Join the New Youth Arts Advisory Group Ayrshire!

Are you aged 16-25 and want to help shape youth arts for Ayrshire? We need your help!

Ayrshire Youth Arts Network is a new initiative funded by Creative Scotland as part of the Time to Shine Strategy. Its purpose is to enrich young people’s lives through arts and creativity.

We are looking for 9 young people across Ayrshire aged 16-25 to be part of a regional Youth Arts Advisory Group who will play a crucial role in shaping the future of arts for young people in Ayrshire. You will work alongside the lead organisations and the partner group including:

· The Gaiety

· Impact Arts

· East Ayrshire Centre Voluntary Organisations

· Arts & Cultural staff from each of the local authority areas

· UWS

· Ayr College

What will my involvement be?

Along with the other advisory group members, you will be a visionary and decision maker, developing ideas that will shape the arts for young people across Ayrshire. Using an innovative and creative approach we will support your ideas of new ways to work and a direction for the Ayrshire Youth Arts Network. This is a really exciting opportunity to make a difference and change youth arts in Ayrshire!

What will I get out of it?

Being part of this opportunity can provide you with many benefits. Your confidence will soar and you will be able to develop core skills in listening, communicating and presenting – which are essential for a high impact CV!

You'll be able to voice the opinions and views of your local community and friends and work with professionals within the creative industry from fields such as film, theatre, music and more.

There will also be a chance to take part and be supported in achieving a Youth Achievement Award plus, you’ll make plenty of friends along the way!
