Eco-chic Boutique to take part in the Merchant City Festival
Impact Arts are delighted to announce that the Eco-chic Boutique will be taking part in the Merchant City Festival which runs from the 25th to the 29th of July. The festival is a vibrant celebration of music, food, fashion and all things cultural in the historic heart of Glasgow.
The Eco-chic Boutique, based on the bustling High Street in the Merchant City, will be running ‘School of Frock’ workshops between the 25-28th July. The workshops focus on fashion design and sewing. The theme will be Olympic colours, and those participating will learn to design and make a range of clothes based on this exciting topic. The week will culminate on Sat 28th July 2012, where the range will be exhibited and showcased in a fashion show in the Boutique. The designers themselves will have the option to model their creations or just sit back, relax and enjoy the show. The showcase will end with a live local band playing, and bubbly and canapés being served in the shop.
