Crowdfund Blog: Week 2

The second week of our crowdfund has been a busy one… In case you missed today’s announcement we’ll let you in on a little secret… David Shrigley is The Patron of The Young Gallery!

Thumbs up

The Turner Prize nominated artist has David is passionate about supporting the project having lived and worked in the city since gaining his Bachelors in Fine Art at the Glasgow School of Art in 1991.

David said:

“I became involved with The Young Gallery because I want to give something back to the city that I live and work in. Through The Young Gallery, Impact Arts gives a quality artistic experience to 300 children living in the East End of Glasgow each year, and to over 1000 members of the local community and I’m excited to be involved with such a brilliant project!”

We’re super-fans of his in the office and have been bursting to make the announcement so we’re glad the cat is out of the bag!
