Community Jobs Scotland Positions with Impact Arts

Are you aged 16 to 19, unemployed and want to work at Impact Arts? Well good news - we are recruiting for 4 Community Jobs Scotland employees to join our Ayrshire team, and 2 to join our Glasgow team. Community Jobs Scotland is a partnership between the Scottish Government, SCVO and Social Enterprise Scotland that creates work opportunities for young people who are currently unemployed. The positions will last between 6 and 9 months depending on your age.

You will be working as either a Creative Assistant or as an Administration Assistant/ Receptionist. Our Creative Assistants work across a range of programmes, so one day you could be researching interior design ideas for young people, the next you could be assisting with a craft workshop for older people or helping design a community garden! Our Creative Assistants need to be flexible, self-motivated and to enjoy working with a wide range of people from different backgrounds. Our Administration/Receptionist worker will be office based most of the time, and will “meet and greet” visitors, answer the telephone and carry out a wide range of administrative tasks. You will need to be confident about meeting new people, have a polite and friendly manner and be able to use a variety of computer programmes such as Word and Excel.

If you are interested in any of these positions, please contact your local Skills Development Scotland or Jobcentre Plus office and they will check your eligibility for the programme and give you an application form. Full job description for Administration Assistant/ Receptionist positions can be found here and Creative Assistants can be found here.
