On January 31, The Young Gallery will be launching its latest exhibition, titled ‘Diversity’ and featuring artwork created by the P5 and P6 pupils of Garrowhill School and St Benedicts Primary School.
The artwork was created during eight workshops, taking inspiration from the American artists Roy Litchenstein, Keith Haring and graffiti artists. During their workshops, the pupils looked at two-dimensional and three-dimensional design, colour and shadow, working with paint pens and stencils to create a playful and colourful collection that will hopefully delight and inspire visitors to the gallery.
The launch event will take place in the morning between 10am and 12pm as well as the afternoon between 1pm and 3pm. The exhibition will run until February 14.
