Two weeks to go until Cashback to the Future launches! We’re putting the spotlight on the
incredible artists signed up to be tutors on this free summer
programme for 14-19 year olds in Glasgow, Edinburgh & Ayrshire.
Delivering fun and engaging musical workshops to in
Glasgow will be Deacon Blue’s Lewis Gordon, a bass guitarist and writer who counts Roddy Hart, Codeine Velvet Club and Texas among the big name musical acts he has previously worked with.
What can those taking part expect from Lewis’s workshops?
“We’ll be getting inspired by the great mix of sounds, old and new, created in
the city,” he says, “and exploring as many styles as we can.”
“You’ll get a shot at playing in a band, writing songs and
experimenting with music technology. We’ll be discovering musical skills we
never knew we had.”
Cashback workshops in Glasgow will be delivered at the Glue Factory in the north of the city and at Impact Arts’ Factory premises in Dennistoun. The artists will be covering both areas so you will have the opportunity to work on what interests and excites you most.
