Making Headlines

Sun 23rd July 2017

Building headlines from other headlines was the first part to the activity carried out by Edinburgh’s Performance group. Surrounded by magazines and newspapers the group worked in pairs to construct a thought provoking, considering humour and the extreme.

Swapping with another group, the pairs worked with their chosen headline, brainstorming together to create the full story.

After ten minutes the group created a semi circle with their chairs and as each pair acted out their headline, the rest of the group formed the audience and shared their constructive feedback on each performance, explaining what worked well and why and what could be improved.

This activity helped build confidence in storytelling and performing in front of an audience.
