Lynne Carr to speak at the CIH Housing for Older People’s Conference

Lynne Carr will be co-hosting a fascinating workshop entitled ‘A Creative Approach to Engaging with Older People’ with Charlie Millar, Chief Executive of Cassiltoun Housing Association.
The workshop is being delivered as part of the Housing for Older People’s Conference run by CIH in Edinburgh tomorrow (Wednesday 27th of June).

This is a unique partnership, and a unique programme.The Craft Café model provides an innovative way for Housing Associations to engage with older tenants.”
“Charlie and I will be discussing the benefits of the programme for both residents and Housing Associations and the exciting results of the Social Return on Investment that we recently undertook to evaluate the success of Craft Café. Recently launched by the Minister for Public Health, Michael Matheson, the SROI found that for every £1 invested,there was a social return of £8.27.”
“As the population ages, answers for problems and issues arising from this will have to be found. Craft Café offers a creative solution to tenant engagement and much more besides and we cant wait to share this in more detail with you all tomorrow.”
