Ayrshire Youth Arts Network is a new initiative
funded by Creative Scotland as part of the Time to Shine Strategy. Its purpose is to enrich young people’s lives through arts and creativity.
We are
looking for 9 young people across Ayrshire aged 16-25 to be part of a regional
Youth Arts Advisory Group who will play a crucial role in shaping the future of
arts for young people in Ayrshire. You
will work alongside the lead organisations and the partner group including:
· The Gaiety
· Impact Arts
· East Ayrshire Centre Voluntary
Organisations
· Arts & Cultural staff from each
of the local authority areas
· UWS
· Ayr College
What will my involvement be?
Along with the other advisory group members, you will be a visionary and
decision maker, developing ideas that will shape the arts for young people
across Ayrshire. Using an innovative and creative approach we will support your
ideas of new ways to work and a direction for the Ayrshire Youth Arts Network.
This is a really exciting opportunity to make a difference and change youth
arts in Ayrshire!

soar and you will be able to develop core skills in listening, communicating
and presenting – which are essential for a high impact CV!
You’ll be
able to voice the opinions and views of your local community and friends and
work with professionals within the creative industry from fields such as film,
theatre, music and more.
There will
also be a chance to take part and be supported in achieving a Youth Achievement
Award plus, you’ll make plenty of friends along the way!
