Impact Arts secure Clydesdale Spirit of the Community Award!

Wed 28th June 2017

We were absolutely delighted to receive a Clydesdale Bank Spirit of the Community award in Glasgow last night!

As part of it, we will receive £5,000 towards a 12-week Creative Pathways: Environmental Design programme for 16 and 17 year olds in North Ayrshire later this year, part of Big Lottery Scotland’s Our Bright Future movement.

Fiona Doring, Director of Impact Arts, said: “A massive thank you to Clydesdale Bank for giving us the
opportunity to expand our 12-week environmental design programme.

“This will
allow us to reach even more young people in North Ayrshire who are not in
employment or education, and work with them to help them develop personally
while having a lasting impact on the community.

“Our creative arts programmes for young people have
continually proven to help participants by passing on art and design skills,
building confidence, and finding positive destinations.

“This funding will go a
long way to continuing this, while having the additional effect of reducing
anti-social behaviour and unemployment among young people in the community.”

The programme will begin run from September until November in Irvine. For more information, please contact Nicola Wood on 0141 575 3001 or email [email protected].
