We are sad to
announce that Jay McAllister has decided to move on from Impact Arts to pursue
new opportunities. Her last day with the organisation will be 29th
May. Jay has been with Impact Arts for six years, initially employed as
Regional Programme Manager and subsequently promoted to Head of Delivery. Jay
was instrumental in establishing Impact Arts’ base in Edinburgh and the Lothian
and Borders.
Jay said:
“I have
greatly enjoyed my time with Impact Arts and have felt privileged to work
alongside such a creative and innovative team of people.”
During her time with
Impact Arts, Jay has instigated the launch of several new artistic and creative
programmes including a theatre arts employability programme in Edinburgh. She
has also led on innovative creative interventions including in Polmont Young
Offenders’ Institution. Using the arts as a tool for change, these programmes
have helped to improve the lives of hundreds of people across Scotland.
Impact Arts Director, Lisa Maclean said:
“We
would like to thank Jay for her outstanding contribution to Impact Arts over
the last six years and the creative vision that she has crafted for the
organisation. She has laid a solid foundation on which to build future creative
programmes and her legacy will continue through our ongoing programmes and
commissions. Everyone across the organisation wishes her all the best in her
future projects.”
Following Jay’s departure,
Impact Arts’ creative delivery team will be led by three Programme Managers,
each with a thematic area of expertise.
