Have Your Say, Hawick!

The Stonefield area of Hawick is on the precipice of undergoing a period of regeneration, and the Scottish Borders Housing Association has invited Impact Arts to develop an Art Masterplan as part of the process! Over February and March 2014, a number of community consultation sessions will be delivered and plenty of opportunities will be provided for the local Hawick community to get involved, and to feel empowered and included in the transformation of their area.
The first event takes place on Saturday, 15th of February 2014, and will be an open day consultation housed in the Filmhouse Café/Bar at Tower Mill between 10am and 3pm. To kick things off, the local population is invited to come along and talk about the Historical and Living history of Hawick, as well as discuss their creative vision for the Stonefield area. Hopefully, it will be a chance for the entire community to have a say in the future of their area and to share their own stories in an informal and fun atmosphere!
