Our Craft Cafe group for over 60’s in Govan were delighted to be joined by the children from Pirie Park Primary school, as part of the upcoming Govan Window Wonderland event, aiming to transform the streets of Govan into a magical outdoor gallery for all to enjoy! This years theme was around Govan Heritage looking at people, places, buildings and culture. Sparking conversation between the age groups about children’s games past and present, which brought much amusement to all.
The groups went on to create and decorate their own paper ‘stained glass’ window display. The members and children worked wonderfully together, with the members giving guidance in what to do and giving the feedback; “…the children were a joy to work with!” The Winter Wonderland event will be held around Govan this Saturday 22nd February, where windows across the area will have artwork installed to celebrate the local history and brighten up our darker months!
