Impact
Arts are hosting a free 5 day animation and performance programme called
Gallery 37 over the Easter holidays for 14-19 year olds.
Based at Impact Arts,
Irvine and open to young people in North Ayrshire aged between 14 and 19, this
is a brilliant opportunity for young people to try out animation, performance,
drama, music, dance, design and photography and work with a professional artist
for the week, before taking part in an exciting showcase!
The Gallery 37
programme uses a variety of artistic and creative approaches to engage young
people aged 14-19 who are at risk of disengaging from school. The programme is a celebration of young
people and their creativity and empowers them to gain increased confidence,
social and communication skills, teamwork, creative skills and ultimately to
stay in education or training.
Natalie McFadyen
White, Programme Manager for Impact Arts said:
“Gallery 37 is a
great opportunity for young people to come together and experience new creative
activities, make new friends and build their skills. You don’t need any experience
and the week of activities is completely free. We’ve got an egg-xciting showcase planned at
the end of the week which local residents are very welcome to attend!”
A longer Gallery 37
programme will run from 13th July in North, East and South Ayrshire for 4
weeks.
