Impact Arts has received a new block of funding from North Lanarkshire Council (NLC).
We are delighted to have the support of NLC, contributing from their No One Left Behind Funding 2025-26.
According to the ScotGov website, No One Left Behind is the approach to devolved employability support between Scottish and Local Government. The initiative is designed to support more people – particularly those facing multiple barriers – to move into the right job, at the right time.
At Impact Arts, we believe in the power of the arts to change lives for the better. This is why we use creative engagement to support people and communities across Scotland facing barriers or disadvantages to progressing in life.
We will use the funding from NLC to support both young people aged 16-24 and adults over 25 who are currently unemployed or economically inactive.
The funds awarded to Impact Arts will enable us to deliver two transformative programmes in North Lanarkshire:
This is a pre-Stage 1 creative employability programme for school leavers aged 16-19 who need intensive support to engage with employability services. This programme will be delivered for 3 days per week in a location close or within a deprived area over 5 weeks between July and August 2025.
CashBack is Impact Arts’ flagship youth arts programme for recent school leavers which we have delivered since 2017 across multiple local authorities, core funded through the Scottish Government.
Young people in this programme are supported to express themselves, explore their creativity, improve their social/core skills, gain accreditations, build confidence and improve their physical and mental health.
Making It is a follow-on Stage 1-2 programme, supporting both young people and adults/parents after the completion of CashBack Summer.
This programme enables participants to engage in a range of different creative and artistic activities including visual arts such as painting, sculpture, photography, filmmaking, animation, music making and creative writing.
Participants also receive 1:1 support and advice on how to progress into employment. They’ll also benefit from a range of workshops, outdoor visits to improve mental health and physical wellbeing, training in core employability skills and support to gain qualifications.
The whole team at Impact Arts is extremely grateful for this funding that we know will have a substantially positive impact for people and communities in North Lanarkshire.
Thank you, NLC!
