
This spring, we’re inviting you to produce a piece of artwork inspired by your idea of home to enter into our new competition!
You can enter a drawing, painting, digital artwork, illustration, photograph, mixed‑media piece, collage, or any other form of visual art.
By entering the Draw Home competition, you’ll be in with a chance to win an exciting prize package and your entry fee will help fund Make It Your Own, our life‑changing tenancy sustainment programme preventing homelessness in Renfrewshire.Â

Every £5 submission, and every generous donation on top of it, directly supports people in Renfrewshire who are entering a new tenancy after experiencing homelessness, trauma, or instability.Â

Your creativity can help someone create a fresh start.Â

Make It Your Own is a creative interior design and tenancy sustainment programme that supports people at high risk of homelessness. Participants can include survivors of domestic abuse, care leavers, refugees, people leaving prison, and people in recovery from addiction. Â
Many are moving into a tenancy of their own for the first time, after experiencing significant trauma, instability, and poor mental health. We support them to make their new house feel like a home – a proven factor in helping people maintain their tenancy long‑term.Â
Over 12 weeks, participants:Â
The goal is simple but life‑changing: To help every participant feel safe, settled, and supported in a space they can finally call home.Â

Yes, you’re welcome to submit multiple pieces. Each artwork must be uploaded as its own separate entry on our donation form, and each entry costs £5.Â
No, you don’t need to be an artist to enter. Anyone of any age living in Scotland can enter.
Yes. If the artist is under 16, a parent or guardian must complete the submission form on their behalf.Â
You can if you like but no, you don’t have to submit an artwork of a traditional house/home. You can create any type of artwork that represents ‘home’, whatever that means to you!Â
Once you’ve finished creating your entry, simply take an image or scan of your artwork. If you don’t have a scanner, most smartphones have a scan feature – Google how to do this based on the type of smartphone you are using. Please make sure it’s a good quality, high resolution image. Next, head to our donation form and upload your image as an attachment and submit your entry. We won’t be accepting postal entries.Â
We welcome any form of visual art including pen or pencil drawings, paintings, digital illustrations, photography, mixed‑media pieces, collage, or any 2D artwork that can be photographed or scanned clearly. Create whatever best expresses your idea of ‘home’.Â
Yes! Digital artworks made with tools like Procreate are welcome. Â
No. One of the aims of this competition is to showcase human creativity. We are looking for original artworks only, created by real people for real people. By entering, you are confirming that the artwork is your own original work.
We plan to get in touch with entrants within one month after the closing date of the competition. At that stage, we’ll let entrants know whether our judges have chosen their artwork as part of the top 10 finalists. A public vote will then decide the overall winner. Â
You can upload a file up to 2MB on our donation/entry form.
We will share all artworks submitted in an online gallery. The top 10 designs will be shared across our social media channels for a public vote to decide the overall winner. Â
We can accept JPG, PNG, and PDF files. Please avoid HEIC files (iPhone default) if possible, you may need to convert them before uploading.Â
If you need to update your entry after submitting, please email sophie.campbell@impactarts.co.uk and we’ll do our best to help.Â
If your file doesn’t upload properly or you think you’ve submitted the wrong image, just contact sophie.campbell@impactarts.co.uk. We can manually update your entry.Â
You can withdraw your entry from consideration in the competition at any time, simply email sophie.campbell@impactarts.co.uk. However, please note that entry fees are non‑refundable, as they are treated as donations to support Make It Your Own.Â
