David Shrigley work to be auctioned at Impact Arts celebration event

Tue 29th November 2016

The acclaimed artist and Turner Prize nominee David Shrigley is among artists who have kindly donated work for auction at an Impact Arts celebration and fundraising event.

Taking place between 4pm and 6pm at the Briggait (147 Bridgegate, Glasgow G1 5HZ) on Wednesday 7th December, the event will be an opportunity to showcase some of the fantastic and intricate work produced by children, young people and older people across Impact Arts programmes during 2016.

In addition to David, work has been donated by sculptor Carla Scott Fullerton, artist and facilitator James Gow and painter John Clark.

The evening will feature exhibitions including work by children participating in the Young Gallery project (of which David Shrigley is a patron), young people working on the Environmental Design strand of the Creative Pathways project, and older people engaging with the Craft Cafe project in Edinburgh.

It will also feature the launch of the Impact Arts annual report for 2015/16, the launch of the Director’s Environmental Design Challenge Fund and a Christmas marketplace.

If you are interested in attending, RSVP to Matthew McWhinnie at [email protected] by Monday 5th December.
