Following the success of the
Creative Pathways 10 week pilot delivered from May – July in Paisley
earlier this year, Impact Arts are delighted to announce that we are now recruiting young
people for the next project.

Creative Pathways Renfrewshire: A life
changing employability programme

The Creative
Pathways programme is a full time creative training and employability programme
designed to engage a group of 15 young people (aged 16-24) over a 10 week period
from October – December 2014. The project will focus on eco product
design for retail, including upcycled furniture and crafts for the home as well
as fashion accessories. Young people will operate from a retail unit in
the centre of Paisley offering a ‘real’ work place experience.

As well as
teaching invaluable creative skills in the workshops, young people will also gain experience in retail and customer service, working with clients on commissioned projects, team building skills and personal development support. Young people who complete the programme successfully will gain an accredited SQA qualification. The programme will
culminate in a final showcase and graduation event. The previous project saw a 92% positive progression rate.
