Creative Pathways has undergone a transformation in Edinburgh for 2013 – Instead of teaching young people aged 16-19 who are unemployed fashion and furniture/product design skills, the new Theatre Arts programme will focus on developing skills in the world of creative arts with a view to connecting young people to the festival city of Edinburgh.
This exciting employability course is the first of its kind in Edinburgh! The 18 week programme offers a choice of three paths where young people will learn skills in costume design & theatrical looks (Eco-Chic Costume Design), set & theatre design (Eco Design) or performance, drama and movement (Performance). Creative Pathways gives you the opportunity to learn creative skills in a workshop environment, whilst gaining experience in event management, customer service, marketing and business development. There will be an opportunity to take part in events including street theatre, podcasting and film and stage performances.
Whether you want to work behind the scenes or dream of taking centre stage, this programme has it all.
The programme has been running for three weeks, however there are still a handful of places available for young people across the three different strands. To refer a young person or yourself please contact Jay or Mairi on 0131 661 9102, or email [email protected] / [email protected].
