Thanks to generous contributions from Stagecoach and Elderpark Housing, Impact Arts’ weekly art group for older people hits its Big Give pledge target!
In August 2025, Impact Arts took part in the first phase of Big Give’s Christmas Challenge. The goal of this phase was to raise £3,750 in pledges to act as match funding for phase 2, a public donation campaign in December.
Craft Café runs three times per week, 50 weeks a year at Elder Park Library, offering a warm, welcoming space for older people in the local community to get together, get creative, make friends, and enjoy a cuppa and a chat. All materials are provided for various art workshops and community projects. It’s been supporting creative wellbeing in the area since 2010.
With a funding shortfall for this beloved project, we appealed to local businesses to make a pledge to keep Govan crafting.
We’re absolutely delighted with the result of this pledge campaign. Now that we’ve reached our target, we’re excited for the next phase of this initiative to support Craft Café in December.
Thank you again to Stagecoach and Elderpark Housing, and thank you to our supporters who shared news of this campaign to help us spread the word. Roll on December!
