Older people

Our flagship programme for older people is the Craft Cafe. It offers safe, social and creative environment where older people can learn new skills, renew social networks, and reconnect with their communities. The activities, self-directed by participants, harness the joy of creativity, artistic expression and learning.

Craft Café has two distinct models of delivery, one within a community setting, the second within a care home. The methodology of self directed learning and choice flow through both models, as does the aim to connect with the wider community. Our community set Craft Cafes are held in Govan, Paisley, Barrhead and Johnstone, while our care home set Craft Cafes are held in Viewpoint homes in Edinburgh.
