Older people

In order to protect the safety of our Glasgow and Edinburgh members, and in light of Government recommendations around COVID-19, we are no longer meeting in our regular Craft Café/Creative Cafe locations.

However, we are working with each individual to provide monthly activity bags shaped to their interests. This is supported by regular online craft/arts activities; the provision of creative and exercise focused activities newsletters/booklets; and regular phone calls and welfare check-ins

If you are an older person, or wish to refer an older person to our service, please get in touch at hello@impactarts.co.uk or call 0141 575 3001

Our flagship programme for older people is, Craft Cafe. It offers a safe, social and creative environment where older people can learn new skills, renew social networks, and reconnect with their communities. The activities, self-directed by participants, harness the joy of creativity, artistic expression and learning.

Craft Café has two distinct models of delivery, one within a community setting, the second within a care home. The methodology of self directed learning and choice flow through both models, as does the aim to connect with the wider community. Our community set Craft Cafe is held in Govan while our care home set Craft Cafes are held in Viewpoint homes in Edinburgh. As well as our community based Creative Cafe at Inch Park in Edinburgh.
