Craft Café: Glasgow

In order to protect the safety of our Glasgow and Edinburgh members, and in light of Government recommendations around COVID-19, we are no longer meeting in our regular Craft Café/Creative Cafe locations.

However, we are working with each individual to provide monthly activity bags shaped to their interests. This is supported by regular online craft/arts activities; the provision of creative and exercise focused activities newsletters/booklets; and regular phone calls and welfare check-ins.

If you are an older person, or wish to refer an older person to our service, please get in touch at or call 0141 575 3001

It is a relaxed and friendly environment where older people age 60+ can come along for a cup of tea and try their hand at a various artistic and creative techniques, whatever their experience or level of ability. Workshops are entirely free.
The Craft Cafe Govan is held between 10am and 4pm, from Tuesday until Thursday each week, at the Elderpark Street Centre (82 Elderpark Street, Govan, Glasgow G51 3SS).

You can watch a short film about our Craft Cafe workshops in Govan and Edinburgh here. You can also read more about our work with older people on our older people's blog.

Craft Cafe workshops in Govan are funded by Elderpark Housing Association.

Andrew, 83

“My mum has always struggled to make friends and I can’t believe we’re talking about the same woman. It is so great to hear that she can have a giggle at the Craft Café and is even popular there!”
Gloria, daughter of Craft Cafe member

“I had not seen him laugh for six months until he came here. It was an instant fit and he talks about the place when he is away. Whatever has happened to him in here has germinated... it has widened his world vastly.”
