Craft Café: Glasgow

The Craft Cafe Govan is held between 10am and 4pm, from Tuesday until Friday each week, at the Elderpark Street Centre (82 Elderpark Street, Govan, Glasgow G51 3ST).

It is a relaxed and friendly environment where older people can come along for a cup of tea and try their hand at a various artistic and creative techniques, whatever their experience or level of ability.

You can watch a short film about our Craft Cafe workshops in Govan and Edinburgh here. You can also read more about our work with older people on our older people's blog.

What people say

"There was a gap in my life until I found this place... this is a game-changer for me."
Andrew, 83

“My mum has always struggled to make friends and I can’t believe we’re talking about the same woman. It is so great to hear that she can have a giggle at the Craft Café and is even popular there!”
Gloria, daughter of Craft Cafe member

“I had not seen him laugh for six months until he came here. It was an instant fit and he talks about the place when he is away. Whatever has happened to him in here has germinated... it has widened his world vastly.”
