Make It Your Own

In light of Covid-19 we have adapted our way of working and are delighted to be offering a Virtual Make It Your Own (MIYO) Course.

Are you a care leaver aged 16-26 preparing to enter into your own tenancy – or perhaps you have done so within the last year?

If so, this programme is for you! We will work with you on a 1:1 basis to explore how you can turn your space into a home. You will be supported to explore your style and how this can be incorporated across your interiors. You will learn new skills, surprise yourself and turn your pad into somewhere you call your own.

When you join MIYO CEYP you will receive a welcome pack that is tailored to you and may contain creative materials or practical materials. Each week you will have virtual one-one sessions with the tutor, where they will work with you to set out tasks for the week ahead. Including; virtual tours of your home and discussions to establish what you would like to improve while creating mood boards.

Each participant is provided with a home improvement budget, based on your requirements and wishes. The tutor will work with you to establishes how best it can be utilised.

You will gain creative, practical and life skills to help sustain your tenancy.

Alongside this participants are invited to a weekly private Facebook live session to allow you to join in a creative activity, ask questions and have the opportunity to show your creative creations with other people on the project.

Support will also be provided to create/update CV’s, apply for college/job opportunities as well as interview advice.

Our MIYO Course has year round recruitment.
