Community-designed mental health artwork coming to Cumbernauld

Thu 07th March 2019

Impact Arts have been working with the community of Carbrain in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, to design a unique new piece of public artwork aimed at promoting positive mental health.

Artist Jose Carlos Rivera has been working with people in the area to designing individual stepping stones for a final installation for Carbrain Gully to be titled Paths for Life.

The artwork is aimed at suicide prevention and promotion of positive mental health. It will provide local people with a place to take on board the five steps to wellbeing: be active, connect, give, learn and be mindful.
