Cashback to the Future 2018: sign up now!

Tue 27th March 2018

It’s less than 100 days until Cashback to the Future, our creative summer celebration of young people’s talents and imagination, returns in July 2018 – and we’re looking for sign-ups and referrals of those aged 12-19!

Cashback to the Future offers a completely free four-week summer programme, giving young people the chance to work with professional artists, musicians, filmmakers and actors on youth-led creative projects, culminating in a one-off showcase event at the end of the month.

Whatever your level of experience, Cashback to the Future is for you – whether you consider yourself creative or not, this is a fantastic opportunity to make the most of your summer by working with enthusiastic, friendly and skilled tutors who will help you reach artistic heights!

We will be confirming our artist team and venues for the project very shortly – for now, we are looking for referrals and sign-ups in Edinburgh, Glasgow, North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire and Renfrewshire.

The workshops are entirely free and will take place Tuesdays – Fridays from July 2nd until July 27th 2018.

The programme is funded by phase four of the Scottish Government’s Cashback for Communities initiative, which backs projects helping disadvantaged young people. Additional funding comes from the National Museum of Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Young Roots Programme.

To be eligible for the Cashback to the Future programme, the young person must be aged 12-19 and either:

  • Living in an area of deprivation
  • Not in education or training
  • At risk of disengaging from school
  • At risk of engaging in anti-social behaviour

If you are interested in signing up yourself, or making a referral for a family member or young person you are working with, please contact Rosanna Hall, Cashback to the Future Recruitment Co-ordinator, at rhall@impactarts.co.uk.

See you this July!
