Mosaics and Walks in Cranhill
The Urban Green team have been working with children from St Maria Goretti Primary School. They have been busy designing and making mosaic bugs for the community garden which will be on display as part of our Enchanted Garden celebration in March! More updates on that soon!
Buzzy Bees!
Cranhill has been buzzing lately - tutor Deborah and has been teaching the toddlers at Bellrock nursery all about being good to bees! They taste tested different types of honey and made their own bee peg. To top it off, they got to try on a bee costume with special hexagonal goggles which gave them an bees-eye view of the world! The children learned about taking care of bees and the environment.
Litter Bugs
Children at St Maria Goretti Primary School in Cranhill have been learning all about littering and recycling this month. Tutor Samantha McGregor has been helping them design litter bugs, which will become cement/mosaic bug stepping stones for the Cranhill Community Garden!
