Pulse – with the Waterways Trust Scotland
Delivered in partnership with Collective Architecture, this project involved young people from the Maryhill area of Glasgow creating a light and soundscape for the White House Bar.
Prior to the project, this was a derelict building on a strategically important location on the canal which since its closure had been a focal point of vandalism.
Pulse brought new life to this area of the canal which has since has been used for community events and festivals.
The young people involved in this project built a new relationship with the canal, seeing it as a place of beauty and positive activity rather than a hot spot of anti social behaviour.
