Children and young people

Children

Children and Schools are some of our biggest clients! We deliver bespoke packages ranging from Big Bag shows for primary-aged children, to community consultations in regeneration areas, making artwork for competition or with a message for a whole school or community. In this highly-rewarding area we get children to use their imaginations in all kinds of creative ways.

We are often asked for creative educational approaches to tackle various issues, and this has been the catalyst for many fantastic projects. We create programmes of activity across a range of themes: environment; bullying; water and fire safety; racism; territorialism; health and even in just learning to be creative!

Our experienced tutors are brilliant at engaging groups of children and tapping straight into their creativity, with some truly spectacular results. Check out two of our great initiatives:

Young people

Young people are our priority target group and we engage with them on a number of levels. Our creative employability programmes such as Gallery 37, for 14 to 18-year-olds and Creative Pathways for 16 to 19-year-olds are of particular significance and we run these in Glasgow, North and East Ayrshire and Edinburgh.

However, we have also successfully delivered projects for other agencies and organisations such as the Restorative Justice team in Glasgow and The Prince’s Trust and a wide range of other youth groups and youth services across the central belt. We engage young people in positive activities, with outcomes that can, for instance, leave a legacy for a community and that engender a sense of pride. We also ensure that the work of the young people is celebrated and showcased to the groups they are working for.
