Impact Arts welcomes the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) which came into effect on 1st March 2011. PVG replaces Enhanced Disclosure.
The PVG Scheme aims are as follows:
- To ensure that individuals who are unsuitable do not gain access to children or protected adults through their work.
- To ensure that individuals who become unsuitable are detected early and prevented from continuing to work (or seeking to work) with children or protected adults.
- To minimize bureaucracy.
Any person who participates in regulated work as well as unsupervised work with children (under 18) or protected adults (individual aged 16 or over in receipt of registered care services/health services/community care services/welfare services) will need to join the PVG Scheme.
Those recruited by Impact Arts for regulated work will be required to join the PVG Scheme. Impact Arts will apply for a Scheme Record Update if the employee has already joined the PVG Scheme.
More information can be found at the Disclosure Scotland website.
Impact Arts is committed to ensuring that all participants and staff work in a safe environment.
