Dub Music Project
Supported by the Scottish Arts Council and Glasgow City Council, the Dub project is running from January - June 2006 engaging young people in a series of 200 participatory workshops over 20 weeks.
The project will focus on the young people gaining skills in DJ’ing, music production, mixing and song writing, as well as learning how to organise and promote an event.
The young people on the project will come from 10 areas across Glasgow identified as having high levels of anti-social behaviour and will encourage active music making in, singing, keyboard and music production.
The Dub project will culminate in a full day event at a city centre venue where the young people will be able to showcase the variety of skills they’ve acquired to an invited audience.
